We are looking for “rebellious thinkers” – leaders who continuously question their knowledge, remain curious and see change as an inevitable step towards sustainable transformation in global supply chains.
In a time when knowledge alone is no longer sufficient, and targeted capability building becomes a key prerequisite for innovation and new business models, forward-looking training formats are gaining increasing importance. Especially against the backdrop of declining investments in further education in many organisations, a strategic gap is emerging—one that companies must actively address to secure their long-term competitiveness.
The ispira network addresses precisely this challenge by offering innovative development formats that enable organisations not only to understand sustainable supply chains, but to actively shape them and confidently translate regulatory requirements into strategic steering. In this context, strategic procurement plays a pivotal role. It becomes the central lever for creating transparency, identifying risks at an early stage, and at the same time enabling innovation across the supply chain.
A key element of our approach is the application of forward-looking methods such as the Future Triangle. This framework illustrates how the “weight of the past” (existing structures and efficiency-driven logics), the “push of the present” (e.g. regulatory requirements and geopolitical uncertainties), and the “pull of the future” (new business models and sustainable value creation) interact—and how organisations can derive strategic options for action from these dynamics.
Through targeted investments in capability building – both within procurement and in collaboration with strategic suppliers – this approach creates the foundation for more resilient, innovation-driven, and future-ready supply chains.
Those who do not invest in resilient supply chains today risk their competitiveness tomorrow—let’s set the right course together.
Current Programmes
A clear entry point into resilient and sustainable supply chains – even with a limited budget
Many companies are currently facing the challenge of driving necessary transformation while operating with constrained resources for training and development. This is precisely where this format comes in: it offers a concise, practical, and strategically grounded introduction to help you future-proof your supply chains.
In a two-part online workshop series (each lasting three hours), we work together through the five key steps of a sustainable procurement strategy:
- Analysis of strategy and supply chain – creating transparency and understanding the status quo
- Derivation of concrete objectives and fields of action – establishing direction for procurement
- Development of an implementable procurement strategy – defining priorities and measures
- Integration into operational procurement processes – embedding sustainability effectively
- Monitoring and continuous development – measuring progress and steering it in a targeted way
In the second workshop, we additionally apply the Supply Chain “Spend Cube” Maturity Model to jointly analyse:
- What is already working well in your organisation?
- Where are there still gaps or risks?
- Which concrete next steps make sense?
Based on the information you provide and our joint discussions, I develop a well-founded assessment along with clear recommendations for next steps. This prepares you in a targeted way to strategically and effectively manage key current regulatory requirements – particularly in the context of the Empowering Consumers for the Green Transition Directive (EmpCo) and the EU Product Liability Directive – from a procurement perspective. Each workshop also begins with a short update on current developments, ensuring that you are up to date not only methodologically but also in terms of content.
For a total price of €2,500, you receive a structured overview of the maturity of your sustainable procurement, concrete approaches for action, and a robust foundation for strengthening the resilience of your supply chains. This not only creates transparency and improves governance but also reduces risks, helps avoid potential downstream costs arising from regulatory requirements, and unlocks efficiency potential along your value chain.
Participation is not limited—you may involve as many employees from your organisation as you wish, enabling effective knowledge transfer and direct implementation within your business.
The format has already been successfully delivered with companies and has proven to be an effective entry point for embedding sustainable procurement in a strategic and practical way. At the same time, it provides early insight into where more in-depth development would deliver the greatest added value.
Building on this, further support can be provided as needed through mentoring or in collaboration with selected partners from the ispira network, in order to implement the identified areas for action in a targeted way.
As an optional next step, a joint on-site workshop is recommended, in which the developed strategy is further refined, aligned, and sustainably embedded within the organisation, involving key functions such as procurement, sustainability, sales, and accounting. This creates a solid foundation to prepare your company not only for upcoming regulatory requirements, but also to position it for long-term resilience, innovation, and competitiveness.
Set the right course now for your future viability—I look forward to exchanging ideas with you.
