Happy Birthday ispira!
One year of ispira Think Tank – impulses for a sustainable future
What if we understand accountability not as a burden, but as a strategic resource? The ispira Think Tank for Sustainable Supply Chains started a year ago with this question – and has since accompanied companies on their way to greater resilience, innovative strength and sustainability. Inspired by the power of art and guided by scientific curiosity, ispira combines economic thinking with social responsibility. In a time of global uncertainty and increasing regulatory requirements, the think tank does not offer simple recipes, but rather in-depth knowledge, practical training and strategic orientation. At the centre of this is the realisation that sustainable transformation can only be achieved through continuous learning, courageous decisions and genuine cooperation – especially in strategic procurement. In its first year, ispira has not only sensitised and qualified numerous companies, but also provided new impetus for political and economic debates. The vision remains clear: shaping supply chains not as a risk, but as a lever for future sustainability – based on facts, responsibly and jointly.

Interview with Startup Village Jülich
In my interview, I discuss the biggest challenges faced by sustainable startups – and why having a clear vision is the key to success. Startups must align their business models with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) from the outset and develop innovative solutions for sustainable supply chains. Growth is being redefined – it’s not just about revenue and profit but about creating societal value. However, in the early stages, startups often lack the resources to make their own supply chains sustainable. Collaboration, strategic partnerships, and practical tools can provide essential support. In the interview, I share concrete tips on how founders can balance sustainability and profitability while building stable, sustainable supply chains from day one.
